Just learned this was allowed. Anyone in here do it? If so where and how has your experience and pay/benefits been?
I graduated college in 2024 with a BS in Marketing and it has been a whirlwind ever since. I had a marketing job for 3 months but was laid off, so I took the first job I could get as a program coordinator at a local university in service-learning. I’m working on my M.Ed because the university pays for it. What can I do next given my background?

I’ve been considering becoming a teacher through an alternative certification route. Everyone talks about the poor pay, but from what I see online they get paid a bit more than I do lol. I was considering doing the Tangipahoa, Jefferson, or St. Tammany Parish alt certification route. Let me hear your experiences!
Anyone been through the St. Tammany Alternative teacher pathway? How was it?
How do you turn onto a busy street when street parked cars are blocking your view? Are we all risking our lives for a Dat Dog? Joking, but driving on Freret kills me. I have to take it to get home from work.
I turn onto south CLAIRBORNE from Ben Weiner (typo in title) to get to work daily and you can’t see if traffic is coming because of street parked cars. What can the university do for this?
South Carrollton and Claiborne are taking years off of my life. Is there an easier way that I’m missing? I don’t care if adds more time to my route. Thanks for the help!
desperate times. is cansecos the closest option?
have a big work project to do. I usually go to trumpet and drum because they have large tables but it feels packed lately. also love honeys but the tables are a bit small. any recommendations? hoping for large tables, outlets, and a chill vibe.
I found an old thread but some don’t seem active anymore, not really picky about the location.
