Gen3 Cable ethernet stuck on laptop

I just got this Starlink ethernet cable second hand, and didn't pay attention to the fact that this stupid cable (stupid me) doesn't use the conventional plastic release, and so it's now stuck stuck on the port.

I've tried nudging a flat screwdriver, but I can't quite get it over the plastic side in order to release the tension from the chasis.

I've now opened up the back and I can't lift the cover. I don't want to break anything, it is my first time opening up my own laptop. I haven't checked a video yet on how to get the cover up, if maybe I need to release the keyboard first, that sort of tutorial.

I figured I could come ask while I took a break.

I've only messed around with an old Thinkpad W510, but not this is P52. I don't have a lot of experience, only cleaning the fan, and thermal paste sort of deal.

I really need this working for work.

Auxilio please helpp I don't know how to tackle this and I hope I don't have to take it to a techniciann :c
