Does Mint deprioritize Home Internet?

Let me start by saying that I love Mint. Been with them for years, never decided to switch even if there’s a cheaper option available because of a lot of features they offer. And the 5G is very fast in my area.

I’ve had home Internet for about six months now, the speed was very good for the first month but then declining ever since. My ping is sitting at 100+ most of the time. I feel like they oversold the Home Internet in my area.

Does Mint get deprioritized Home Internet speed compare to the one you get from T-Mobile? I had T-mobile before (the black router, not the new white one and it wasn’t an issue.

Layover at SIN and international arrival at EWR questions

  1. Was able to snatch SQ J SGN-SIN-EWR for P2 and chose the option of 4.5 hours layover at SIN instead of 55 mins.

Read online and seems like most people make connection comfortably within an hour on SQ single ticket.

P2 never transit at SIN before, so should we settle with 4.5hrs or change to 55 mins layover?

If notifying SQ crew ahead, would they help with tight connection?

What if P2 missed connection due to delayed and got rebooked, would the rebook retain J or maybe downgraded to Y?

  1. Arriving at EWR, P2 needs to connect to a very small regional airport to get home, thus separate ticket with Delta 2.5 hrs after landing at 6AM. Is it enough time for a green card holder? If P2 cannot make it, next best option would be 6 hrs and will finally get home around 7pm. I guess standby for the earlier flight would also be an option?

I believe P2 wouldn’t be able to use the “baggage re-check” line and have to carry the bags from Terminal B to A thru AirTrain. Unless SQ can check bags all the way through on DL separate ticket, which I doubt.

  1. What would you choose if:

SGN-SIN-EWR — ATL-regional airport (landed 6am, home about 1pm or 7pm depends on layover at EWR)

SGN-SFO — ATL-regional airport (landed 6pm, SFO-ATL redeye, get home at 1pm next day)

Weak passport, reposition, and separate tickets risk

I’m a proud holder of a very weak passport. Basically anywhere I go, I would need a VISA, except the US, Vietnam, and ASEAN. It makes planning a little difficult because sometimes tickets only available from bigger regions like TPE, HKG, NRT/HND etc.

Just last night, I found one from TPE-LAX with China Airline through AF/FB but nothing was available for SGN-TPE-LAX. I was tempted to book the flight and just do a separate segment from SGN-TPE and hopefully customer service can make the 2 tickets into 1 connecting ticket.

But the risks of denied boarding due to no visa is very high. Even if I can board, no guarantee that the desk agent would just check bags all the way thru.

Anyone been in the same situation and had success stories? If yes, what airlines and what did you do or just pure luck?

Would cancelled AF/FB ticket go back to inventory for other partner to book?

Basically title. Looking to cancel my AF ticker to see if I can book thru ANA for cheaper price. SGN-SFO route.

Or it’s a hit or miss?

Did I overpay? SGN to SFO nonstop

Just booked VN J through KLM for 94,500 pts (no transfer bonus) + $445 surcharge in mid July. Have never seen anything lower than 100k pts from Asia to US.

My final destination is ATL so will need to book a separate ticket there, probably gonna cost around 20-30k Skymiles. Most Economy ticket from SGN - ATL with 1 stop is already $1,400+.

Crazy summer time and crazy surcharge. Did I overpay?
