I’m not talking about actual criticisms of the storytelling or gameplay of the world or whatever, I’m talking about the most stupid and minute things that probably nobody else cares about except for you? For me, it’s that there is way too much smoking in the game. That’s not to say that I am appalled or offended by smoking; it’s a dystopia, of course people are going to rely on substances. The issue is that realistically, most people would be vaping instead. Even though they are commonplace today, e-cigs kinda feel very cyberpunk in that it is a more tech heavy version of a common object that I could absolutely see some 80s cyberpunk novel coming up with. Also the fact that smoking was on the decline for a while before cigarette companies pivoted by getting people addicted to the thing meant to help smokers quit instead also fits narratively. Is there any in universe reason for why cigarettes stay so popular in 2077 beyond rule of cool? I’m genuinely curious.
