Had the pleasure of working with a woman named Echo for one of the home renovation projects I have going on. It got to a point where I needed her email address for something. Her name is actually spelled Eckoe. I visibly recoiled reading it.
I have two 12 week old ganders and ten 7 week old ducks. The geese are outside full time, the ducks are outside during the day and still in a pen in my back room at night because I have yet to get a secure coop for overnights for them. The pen they are in during the day is close and within eye/ear shot of the pen the geese are in, but I would like to be able to put them in with the geese during the day as that pen is much larger. I have been introducing them by taking the ducks into the goose pen once a day for 10-15 minutes while I stay in there supervised. One of the geese has already taken to the ducks and I think he would be fine with them. The other however, nips at them and if I don’t interfere quickly, will full on grab them and pull them around. This is about my 5th day doing this and it’s not getting worse but it doesn’t seem to be getting better? Will he eventually acclimate to the ducks or will I have to rehome him? Pic of me with the offender in air jail for visibility.
The plug on the side of his enclosure that gives the option to have cords going into the tank (I don’t use this) popped out somehow and my guy, Onyx, took full advantage of that to escape. He went under my fridge and I found him right away. I figured nbd, I can scoop him out with the broom handle. When that didn’t work, I decided to wait to see if he would come out on his own. Unfortunately, he did not take kindly to being prodded with the broom handle and somehow crawled into a cover underneath my fridge. So he’s off the floor but under/inside the fridge. I can see his head sticking out so I know he’s not physically stuck and could come out if he wanted. Advice on how to coax him out?
This is my first time incubating goose eggs. This egg should be at 31 days, I put it in lockdown 4 days ago. It looked normal (according to internet pics) when candled on day 7 and day 14. It hasn’t pipped and I haven’t heard any chirps. It now has this ring around the edge of the air cell. Is there a chance that this egg might still hatch or did it die at some point later in incubation?
