I think the Speedway gas station by me has been selling sugar free Fresca slurpies that contain full sugar blue raspberry flavoring, but they don't care when I tell them.
I've been buying sugar free Fresca slurpees from 7-11 pretty regularly, like probably 3-5 slurpees a week, and was stoked to see that the Speedway gas station closer to me started carrying them.
When I got one, it was slightly blue in color, which was odd because the ones from 7-11 were yellowish white, but when I took a sip, it tasted like a very sweet blue raspberry flavor. Which was what was right next to the Fresca flavor in the machine.
I told the front desk, they said thank you and said they'd fix it, and then just went about my day.
A week later I go back, and it's still kinda blue, maybe a little less blue, I taste it, and it still tastes like blue raspberry.
I send Speedway an email, but don't hear back. I call them, I'm on hold for 20 minutes, and I gave up.
Today I went back, and I got one because it looked pretty close to the normal color, but when I took a sip it tasted very strongly of blue raspberry. I had my girlfriend try a sip and she said it tasted like blue raspberry.
I tried talking to the manager, and he laughed in my face and told me that it's ok if I don't like it when I told him that I think it contains some of the full sugar blue raspberry slurpee, which would make it dangerous for diabetics.
I don't know what to do. It doesn't feel that sticky when I let it dry, but this is not the same Fresca slurpee that I've been getting from 7-11. It's so much sweeter.
The photo of the machine is from a week ago, obviously I didn't get it then because it wasn't ready, but thats the slightly blue color.
