Going in, I knew a few songs, but I wasn't prepared for how ahead of its time this album felt. The blend of rock, electronic production, huge hooks, and Shirley Manson's vocals really stood out to me. I can definitely hear why so many people consider it a classic. The album was known for pushing digital production and electronic elements into alternative rock while still delivering strong pop songwriting.
