Photographers for mini session

Hey all! I’m running a marathon in Leavenworth on October 3rd and was wondering if anyone knows of any photographers who do mini sessions and would be available to take some pictures of me after the race. Nothing too long probably 30 minute session max. Thank you!

Hiring a photographer

Hi all! Has anyone hired a photographer to take pictures after a race and maybe one or two during the race as well? I understand they wouldn’t run the entire race with you, but maybe take a photo somewhere near the beginning or end and then some medal pictures afterward.

My sister was originally supposed to come with me and take pictures after the race, but our plans changed and she’s not available now. I’m running my first marathon this fall in Leavenworth and would really love to have some good photos to remember it by. I was thinking of buying the official marathon pictures package but everyone told me that pictures in that package are pretty bad.

I’d love to hear if anyone here has hired photographers before, how the experience was overall, and whether the photos turned out well. Thanks!

Weight loss during marathon training

Hi all, I know this topic has probably been discussed a lot already, so I apologize in advance. Last fall I ran a half marathon while eating normally without calorie counting, and obviously I didn’t really lose any weight. Over the last 3 months, I’ve been doing keto and tracking calories and have lost about 15 lb. I’m a female, 5’7”, and currently weigh around 170 lb.I’ve read online that some people calculate their calories based on maintenance with little/no activity level, then add back the calories burned from running, and were still successful at losing weight while marathon training. I’m curious if anyone here has personally done that and had success.I know it’s not considered ideal to lose weight while training for a marathon, but I really want to run a marathon this fall and would also like to continue gradually losing weight if possible.Any advice or personal experiences would be appreciated!

Question for the ladies:
I’ve been seeing a guy from Hinge for about a month. He’s 25, a youth leader at a local American church, very conservative, and a virgin. Overall, things have been going well.

From the beginning, I was very clear that I’m not okay with my partner following models or OnlyFans-type accounts on Instagram. He agreed and said he’s not into porn or anything like that.

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed he had liked a Facebook page that was basically a podcast featuring a porn star talking about her work. I brought it up, assuming maybe it was accidental, and he said he had never seen it before and removed it.

Then yesterday, I noticed he was following several Instagram models who mostly post bikini or revealing photos. I told him that this crosses a boundary for me, and he removed them as well.

Now I’m conflicted. On one hand, he did remove everything when I brought it up. On the other hand, I had clearly communicated this boundary from the start, so it makes me wonder why it was there in the first place.

I’m also overthinking a bit because I found his dad on Instagram (who is a co-founder of their church), and he also follows a lot of sexualized accounts.

Am I overreacting, or is this a valid concern? Would you see this as a red flag this early on, or more as something that can be worked through?
