Herniated/Slipped Discs + Sciatic Nerve Pain

I’m wondering how situations like this have gone for other people throughout their careers, knowing everyone’s experience is different.

I was in physical therapy for a while but wasn’t seeing any improvement, so I asked for further evaluation. After MRIs and X-rays, they found multiple herniated/slipped discs along with my sciatic nerve pinched in my lower back. Since then, I’ve gone through pain management and sports pain management and have received two steroid injections so far, but nothing has changed.

Because of that, I asked about the possibility of an MEB and where I currently stand in that process. I was told that I’m basically “two out of three strikes” in treatment options attempted. I was also told that surgery isn't an option due to age and how it may affect me in 10-15 years.

All in all, I'm anxious and wanting to see what other people have experienced.
