How much is tirzepatide doing by itself vs. lifestyle changes?
What’s up, guys? I had a question and wanted to see what other people’s experiences have been like.
I’ve been reading a lot of posts here, and I notice that many people losing weight on tirzepatide are also exercising, eating healthier, counting calories, or making other lifestyle changes. And of course, that’s usually what it takes to lose weight anyway. So it made me wonder how much of the progress people are seeing is from the medication itself, and how much is from the regular weight loss habits they’re doing alongside it.
I’m especially curious if there’s anyone here who didn’t really change anything at first. No new exercise routine, no calorie counting, no major diet changes, just took the medication and still lost weight. Did the weight start coming off anyway, or did you only start seeing results once you actually changed your habits too?
I ask because, being honest, about a month ago I saw a TikTok about tirzepatide, and next thing I knew, an hour later I had some medicine on the way. Three days after that, I was injecting myself with it. I’m about a month in now, and I haven’t lost a single pound. Literally the exact same weight.
I know it can take time, so I’m not trying to complain or say it doesn’t work. I’m just genuinely curious. I personally haven’t done much to help the weight loss. I’ve mostly been eating and living the same as before. I have noticed a little bit of reduced desire to eat, but not necessarily a true lack of hunger, if that makes sense.
For those of you who’ve been on it longer, did tirzepatide eventually start working on its own, or did you really have to make lifestyle changes before the weight started moving?
