Studienkellog + BTU

Hallo alles,

I was raised in Deutschland as a child but my parents are American. Sadly I had to move back when I was ten but now I want to apply to BTU - Senftenberg for their B.Sc. in International Health and Life Sciences.

The program is taught in English/International (I'm only a B2~C1 speaker now, so I think a full on Deutsch programme would overwhelm me since I don't know how to write in Deutsch). I was curious, since I have some Deutsch fluency, the program is English taught, and I obtained my highschool diploma in the US + met all the GPA requirement/course stuff, will I need to go to a Studienkellog? Should I contact admissions and ask? The application is due in July.. hoping I get in so I can go home.

I've checked the DAAD and it gave me a half-answer.

Has anyone here done the program/experience/wisdom to pass down?

Dankeee xx

Degree / life advice

Hey Reddit,

I need some advice. Hopefully this isn't the wrong page to ask this. I just made it through my first year of uni and unfortunately (due to a huge medical episode) failed out of a three classes. So have to redo first year a little.

The community college near me offers an Associates of Biotechnology, which would’ve been my major in my BSc. I know there are some programs where I can do an assc. -> Masters, but will that effect any employment in the future? Should I continue with my bachelors? (+ the masters program I really love requires a BSc)

I want to end up working in a lab and the business aspect of medicine/pharma.. and even if I find a lot of internships and lab experience I feel like jobs won’t take me seriously/find me credible without knowledge from a BSc.

Hi UBC,

The breadth requirement is confusing me a little bit. English is my second language so I'm going to try and explain/ask this as clear as I can.

I'm planning to specialise in an honours program, and saw that I need to take at minimum a 3 credit course in six of the seven categories. Does this mean I have to take at least one course each from 6 of the 7 categories? Or do we pick one or two categories, get the credits from all those courses? Does that make sense.. sorry. Thank you!!
