[TOMT] I’m trying to track down an old TV ad I vaguely remember, and I can’t tell if I imagined it or not.
This is a lot so bare with me *clears throat*
Dig if you will, a picture:
A single actor dressed as a cowboy, but split right down the middle into two contrasting personas:
Right side: a “good guy” cowboy dressed entirely in white — white hat, white shirt, white boots, everything clean and polished.
Left side: a “bad guy” outlaw dressed entirely in black — black hat, darker rugged clothing, more aggressive look.
The way it was filmed made it look like two different people:
The camera would tightly frame just one side of his face at a time.

When the white “good guy” side was shown, he’d be talking to someone off-screen, looking left, calm and measured.
Then it would quickly cut to the opposite profile, and suddenly it was the black “bad guy” side, now looking right and responding in a deeper, harsher voice.
It would rapidly cut back and forth between the two sides, making it feel like a classic Western showdown between two rival characters.
Then at the end, the camera pulls back and reveals the twist - it’s just one man standing in the middle of the street, either spinning around to argue with himself or awkwardly trying to draw a gun on his own hip.

This has been driving me insane because I can precisely remember the details but can't remember if it's even an ad or not, I'm simply assuming it was.
