Red John alternative plot line

Hey ya'll. I just finished the episode that ends Red John arc and I am underwhelmed given the build up they gave for Red John.

>!For a long time I had a working theory. I was thinking that Jane was the Red John. Maybe he had a psychiatric condition, like split personality or dissociative disorder and that Red John was his alter ego. That would explain how Red John was always ahead of Jane and knew most private stuff about him, and why most people around him were getting killed, or Red John's obsession with Jane. No one who can identify Jane as Red John survived for long. Jane is also charismatic, we know he can charm and hypnotise anyone, and is a trickster and illusionist. He may have been meeting powerful people through his earlier con days and used his skills to get dirt on others and then use it as a leverage. The only flaw to this theory, is of course, time and place of where murders happened and where Jane was, and also Lorelei. I would have loved to watch the episode where Jane realises he is the Red John and he killed his own wife and daughter, and he was chasing himself for revenge. Only for a fleeting moment until his alterego takes over.!< !<

Obviously Grim and dark and glad it wasn't so.

So I encountered a stray Cat near my place. He seemed healthy. He held his place, standing still and maintained this intense wide eyed stare right into my eyes. I remembered seeing something on social media and I gave it a couple of slow blink. Then something changed. The cat started meowing and although he didn't approach me he started moving, and a bit restless or something. I moved on, but curious to know what this interaction meant....
