How likely am I to get sales off of Beatstars?

I've been producing trap for like 5 years on and off now and by now I'm pretty decent, enough so that I've had (small) rappers use them.

I was thinking of starting a Beatstars account to sell trap beats when I make new ones.

Is it worth the time? I've seen people on Instagram saying that Beatstars is basically impossible to get significant sales from now.

<$1500AUD to play modded fallout 4 and run music production software?

I just want to be able to run fallout 4 modded, that should be the most demanding thing I want to do on my PC.

I also want to be able to run FL studio as well as a screen recorder (so I can make social media content around my music).

Preferably something that would be easy to upgrade if I wanted to.

Good documentaries on DJ/producer history?

I'm curious if there are any good documentaries focusing on the early days of DJing or the beginning of house/techno music?

Struggling to remember FX cycle on FLX4

Unless I'm looking at rekordbox, I can't ever remember what FX Im on, what's next and what's prior. I've just kept it on trans since that's my most used FX, and use the pad FX for things like reverb and echo.

I'm pretty shit at memorising things in general because of birth defects and drugs. My slow cognition makes mixing hard enough as is, let alone memorising extra stuff

Is there any way to rearrange the order that FX are scrolled through in RB? Even if I could remember just 3 or 4 of them, 90% of the time I'd be good. I just can't focus on beatmatching, EQ or phrasing when Im sweating for a certain FX.

I was thinking of getting the GRV6 so I could have labelled FX. At this point FX is the only thing I rely on a laptop screen to get right

Best places to listen to EDM casually to find new tracks?

Specifically techno and house in my case.

Unless I'm DJing, high, or at a party/club, I don't listen to a huge amount of techno or house. Not that I don't enjoy it, I just engage with EDM differently than most music.

What this means though, is unless I'm actively looking for tracks, I don't find many songs that I could add to my USB.

I want to start casually listening to more techno and house to expand my library. Where do you guys go to find new electronic music, when just listening casually? I can usually find tracks if I actively go digging through SoundCloud, but when I'm specifically looking for tracks it feels like I become sort of numb to how each song hits a listener if that makes any sense

Is there any reason not to beat match while performing if you can do so?

Edit: titles wrong. Why not beat sync while live if you can beat match manually?

I started off by learning to beat sync by ear, and now feel comfortable behind a controller and I'm ready to start performing. I'm just wondering, is there any reason not to use beat sync if you can manually fix mistakes in the tempo and sync?

I'm still continuing to practice by manually syncing because I see no reason to start using sync. It's easy enough to feel basically automatic/subconscious now and when I'm practicing mistakes don't matter.

But if you're just trying to give a crowd the most enjoyable experience possible, why not perform using beat sync?

Does beat sync cause any issues that cannot be solved by someone who can manually beatmatch? If not, why perform without sync?

Struggling to curate my first set/USB.

I am now competent at all the basic skills of DJing, beyond the point where I can meaningfully practice with just a few songs. It's time for me to start curating a playlist to format onto a USB so I can practice what I'll actually be doing on stage.

Where I struggle however, is making a set without feeling like it's just a Spotify playlist. I want to have some intention with the songs I choose, but I'm finding it difficult to maintain a coherent vision after 5-10 songs. Any more and it starts to feel like I'm just making a playlist of songs I like.

How do you guys go about making a list of songs to put on a USB? How do you go about it while actively trying to be able to put crowds through a journey if necessary? I just don't want to seem or feel like I just have a bunch of random songs to play in a pre-planned order. I'm struggling.

I DJ primarily house and techno, but I'd like to be able to pull out some 2000-10s hits as a crowd pleaser if needed.

Any way to do this digitally?

So there's an Instagram posting videos of custom vinyl records, where they've cut the vinyls into quarters and glued them together to create cool samples. It's just like a regular vinyl except each quarter is a different song and it skips between different sounds but keeps progressing through each track.

Manually going beat by beat and slicing up four whole songs to rearrange sounds like hell. Is there any easy way to do this digitally?

You'd effectively need 4 audio inputs which cycle evenly between one another, while muting the rest, and allowing all four to continue playing. I'm just not sure how to do it
