Is confidence really key?

So before I start this, if anything sounds like incel rhetoric please feel free to call me out.

Perhaps it’s this website and I need to see more people, but I notice a certain number of women struggle with weird, bad, or difficult partners.

I’ve always wondered why that is. It could be I am worse than those I think of, that’s possible. I’ve known family and friends with awful partners.

Looks came to mind, but I’ve seen women with out of shape men before. It’s not an impossible task. I’ve seen women with partners who are quite frankly, ugly on the inside as well.

It made me question a lot though, what exactly is the secret there? Obviously not all women choose bad men or have experience with bad partners.

On the dating apps a lot reported creepy and weird men on there. I usually wouldn’t get any luck on there ever. Of course I require most of the blame even if I don’t believe so, if the worst of men can have partners, surely I should be able to as well if I am seemingly much better.

Then the other day a thought burst into my head. They are confident in themselves even if they have obvious faults. Is this the truth, is there more to it?

I’m very much not a confident person in any which way, and I’ve seen stories of women asking out the shy people, but I find that highly unlikely to happen to me.

The main villains defeat didn't fix anything.

When the series builds up a big bad as someone who needs to die in order to resolve a situation, but it ends up not fixing the main issues the characters face.

Rick Prime [Rick and Morty]: The entire show revolves around the trauma and issues of the characters. Rick's trauma is the main focal point, because it's the reason the show exists. We learn another version of Rick killed his family, sending him a long journey to track him down. He is built as the main villain of the show.

Killing him is the reason Rick and Morty exists. Once we get to the part where Rick beats him to death, we learn nothing changes. Rick still feels depressive guilt, has a hard time trusting, and realized he in a sense, wasted his life away for a moment that lasted no longer than 2 minutes at most.

Micah Bell [ Red Dead Redemption 2]: Throughout the story, Micah is the worst person on screen every time he appears. Manipulating Dutch, snitching on the gang, played a part in some of their deaths as well. He in a sense is the embodiment of evil in this game. After Arthur's death, we get to play as John who eventually tracks Micah down to a small home in the mountains.

After an intense showdown, we learn, nothing changes. The gang is still torn apart, Arthur doesn't come back to life, and John actually makes it worse because killing Micah leads to Edgar Ross tracking him down later; resulting in his death. This leads down a path of endless redemption where the only person left remaining is his son.

Homelander [The Boys]: Homelander was the reason the boys got together, every single moment was about getting to him. Their final bout ends with Butcher finally killing Homelander, ending the years long torment of guilt and bloodlust towards him. In the end, it didn't change much really. Supes are still made, and Stan Edgar goes back in charge. Leading to more supes and corrupt companies being back on top.

Homelander's death was satisfying and deserved, but someone else, possibly better will come along again. Which in a sense made Homelander's death feel like another dead person no real value came from it besides removing an evil, that will be replaced again anyway.

How do I make more women friends?

I've posted before asking about "attracting" women, and I took some time to read and process comments. All were very helpful. One of the bigger ones I've received is the fact I need more friends to expand my social circle.

This is factually correct to me at least, for my personal situation. To add on to it, I dislike having male friends. Not because men are evil, or because of romantic ideas towards women. I've found myself uncomfortable with a lot of my male friends. There's always some topic they have weird opinions on.

I've had friends say weird sexist comments, some of them were weird with women, and a lot of them made dark edgy humor. It deeply make me uncomfortable nowadays to hear these things. I apologize if that sounds performative, it is not meant to be.

It also isn't to say every man is like this, there are many not like this

How exactly do I make more women friends? People to just talk to every once in a while about shared interests. Eventually I hope to meet more friends who are men, and I hope it's through mutal friends.

Any advice is helpful thank you.

Ok that got me [Surprised moments]

These are moments where the writers make a character do something that seems believable enough to their personality; so when it's revealed otherwise, it is shocking.

  1. Homelander [The Boys]: In season 2 of the boys, Homelander is struggling with audience approval. To try and take control of the situation, he attends a rally of an opposing politician at the time. Despite the fact he tried to seem caring, the people didn't buy it and booed him. In response he lasers a whole crowd, something that would make sense for his character at a breaking point. Oh wait.... That was in his head.
  2. Wonderman [Wonderman]: In Wonderman Simon is a struggling actor with emotional problem linked to his powers. He obviously isn't some psycho, it seems his abilities cause him to have rapid emotional changes at times. In this scene one of the other actors trying for Wonderman in a movie begins taunting him about his skills. Now remember, Simon is at one of his lowest points in life. In a fit of exploding rage, he punches clean through the guys face. Just kidding, that was also in his mind.
  3. Wolverine [Old Man Logan]: In Old Man Logan, we learn villains are targeting heroes in a coordinated attack. The X-Men being filled with some of the most powerful heroes around, they would of course be targeted by some of the stronger main villains. Wolverine manages to catch all of them first before they reach the children. Villains such as Doctor Octopus, Bullseye, Green Goblin, Absorbing man, etc. He does eventually kill them all, until it's revealed one of Spider-Man's main villains, Mysterio, had tricked him into killing the X-Men. Dark....

How exactly do I "attract" women?

I'm a person who simply wants to be with someone who can enjoy similar things to me, so we can have conversations. I've never cared about looks, maybe once when I was 18. I seemingly have never had success where it counts. I would consider myself boring, the usual advice such as clubs, events, social outings don't really interest me. My life is usually private, I rarely if ever share things about myself.

Is there a secret cheat code that most men use? It's kinda hard to even get a conversation going without boring them in the first 10 seconds.

I hate that influencers make so much money

I'm sure this could be considered jealousy/envy. You would likely be correct, but that's not the point. I don't hate all influencers because hating people is a lot of effort; I hate the fact they make an insane amount of money for doing nothing unique.

Can anyone name me reasons they should make more money than firefighters, doctors, or any real working people with actual helpful jobs. What exactly do they do? Play video games and do obvious fake reactions?

I know people will bring up creators like Mr.Beast, Kai , and Speed. ("These guys put effort into their content.") And I ask doing what exactly? Mr. Beast literally is just myth busters/ every other invention channel but with more money, Kai is literally just a tv media celebrity now, and Speed hasn't done anything unique.

Again, I don't hate influencers or anything (Ok mods?), but I find it ridiculous they make so much money while doing nothing special or unique. The world would be fine in a week if all influencers quit, but if all teachers quit? We lose education.

I put Adin Ross here because putting my issues with him aside, his content is as mundane as it gets. Sitting on camera 24/7 either gambling, getting mad at obvious ragebait, or literally just watching videos with an obvious overreaction.
