Im cleaning up all the screw and nail holes in my rental suite before moving, and this is something ive never seen.. older house, not drywall per we but some sort of plaster board? Doesnt have the 1/4” thickness of drywall. Hole slightly larger than a golf ball. What’s my best approach?

At least the SS bolts remove the “it’s just about southern heritage” dodge - which would be a strange argument to make in Vancouver anyway. Oh well, as Propaghandi said, I’d rather know my enemies and let you know the same.
