One of the most throwaway characters, with a relic of a damn light bulb, one of a kind asking for $400. The fact you can see the comic has a “sigh” thrown in there is the icing on the cake, and an example of the wasted potential of this series. It’s genuinely peaking my interest because of how stupid it is.

I know this complaint isn’t anything new. I love Invincible, I love collecting cards, and I love collecting this series of cards. But good golly god what is the planning behind the relic choices.

I find it extremely satisfying that this card is a first on print (1/25), that also matches the round (1) and pick (25) where Dart was selected. Does anyone else have unique number matches like this?

It was $255 for the Dart /100 which is much more than I’ve ever spent on a card, but I’m a huge Giants fan and, tbh, didn’t think my $5 over bid was going to win me the auction.

Later that night I saw a mega in the wild which I haven’t found after weeks of searching. Like a good closeted gambling addict I bought it. Sitting in my car I mutter “last pack magic” in shameful fashion after I realize I’m not getting anything out of retail. But then the 2nd to last card in the pack fell on my lap. I become equal parts thrilled to hit a card with value for my PC for the first time, but also dumbfounded by the odds I pull this nearly identical card same day.

TLDR - bought the card I wanted on eBay, just to pull it out a mega box later that day.
