DAY 4/5 THIS WEEKKKKKKKK (of walking everyday bc we HATE the post gcse bed rot)

GUYS TODAY WAS PEAKKKKKK

Okay im gonna start with this - i missed a day yesterday bc on Wednesday my DUMBASS was being silly and i fucked my foot up (i jumped and then landed on my feet and the sole of my right foot was in severe pain) so i thought it was best i probably take a break, still hurts today i js CANNOT stay in the house

Onto my walk!
I actually had no social interactions today .. HOWEVER, whilst walking to the park i decided this was the day i should face my fear and order a drink by myself:
So at the park i chilled and swung for a while listening to some Annabelle Dinda once again, decided my order, and then i went to the costa near me on my way home AND OMG I ORDERED A DRINK FOR THE FIRST TIME
NOT ONLY WAS THIS MY FIRST TIME ORDERING IN GENERAL, THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME ORDERING - BY MYSELF TOOOOOOO
I wasn’t even with anybody but i still FREAKING DID IT GUYSSSS (i’ve had very bad social anxiety my whole life so my little sister would always do the talking lmfao)

So overall GREAT day, 2 hours ?? freaking great, coffee, great, weather, also pretty great

HERES UR REMINDER (my fellow year 11’s) TO GO OUTSIDE BC ITS FUN AND FREE, AND ALSO TRY FACE UR FEARS AND DO INDEPENDENT SHIT BC U CAN AND IT FEELS GOOD
IF A BLIND GUY CAN, SO CAN YOU XX

(here’s my mandatory daily complaint about the wrist pain i endure bc i use a white cane, pity me /j)

I went out with my mobility teacher today for an hour!
(which is why i don’t actually have a timer today)

Since i found my primary school yesterday we managed to use that route to find the park i wanted to go to! Getting so many wins lately :)
Great day to be blind (or smth like that)

day 4/6 of tryna walk everyday (bc post gcse lack of motivation is a bitch)

GANGGGG

today was a great day for my walking
It was lowkey way easier to leave the house today and it’s also gotten cooler so i wasn’t drenched in sweat and dying

Only caveat was the WRIST PAIN FROM USING MY WHITE CANE OMG THAT WAS ANNOYING … Frfr had to start being a slow walker so my wrists were not in excruciating pain (they still were) and i could walk at least an hour
I’d walk way longer if my WRISTSSSSSSS WERENT A BITCH

anyway

I adventured round some neighbourhoods today, exploring places i haven’t been by myself and it was acc so fun xx

IF A BLIND PERSON CAN GO OUTSIDE AND TOUCH GRASS, SO CAN YOU
GO OUTSIDE AND TAKE SOME PICTURES OF TREES. (i love trees so much, ts is so fun, yall should show me ur tree pics or smth yk)

TOUCH GRASS GUYS

LOOKKKKK

I’ve gone on a walk 3/5 days this week but i’m gonna say 3/4 bc i’m not counting the day i spent with my partner for our anniversary xx

I’ve been on 50-60 min walks except for monday when my walk was with my mobility teacher so it was only 30 mins cus i havent seen her in a while - im gonna try walk longer when the heat’s died down
My wrists HURTTTTT after today (curse of being a fast walker), bc im trying to use my white cane properly n shit yk practise n building up stamina and strength in my wrists cus holy fuck being blind is SO ANNOYINGGGG

I also js decided i wanted to like log this on here for fun cus we can see my progress fighting that post gcse depression with nature 🙏🏼

(i encourage u to go outside even by ur self, it’s lovely - IF A BLIND PERSON CAN, SO CAN U)

hope this is motivational guys!!

How i did two physics papers today

Okay so! Crazy day as a blind student in the UK :))
(i’m too positive for ts to get to me it’s fine)

For context, i’m in a mainstream school and i do my exams in a separate room by myself with one of my TA’s as my (trained) invigilator
I have two computer screens, one where i type, one with my question paper on it
I also have a physical copy if i need or want to write in it
I usually only use it for graph questions in science
I’m higher combined for science.

Onto today! So uhm, i usually check the front of my exam paper out of boredom at the start of every exam as my TA reads out all the rules bc it’s a legal requirement, today i didn’t
I was honestly rlly scared and flustered about physics, and this morning my little sister had made us leave the house late and it threw me off schedule so i really wasn’t thinking straight (im a person of routine)

I get an hour and 30 minutes into the paper (i get extra time) on question 5.3, where there is finally a graph question
So for the first time in my exam i go to my physical copy
I’m flicking through and … I glance at question 3, hm, that’s a diagram i don’t recognise, keep flipping, HM, THATS AN ENTIRE PAPER I DONT RECOGNISE.
So, me, keeping calm bc for some reason i don’t believe in stress, i flick to the front, check, yes this is the right paper
Now i go to my computer exam and scroll to the top, i was thinking maybe i had the wrong date … IT WAS FOUNDATION. IM HIGHER- So uhm, i tell my invigilator/TA, she freaks out more than me ofc, i go downstairs and chill (im used to things fucking up in my exams - blind ppl experience - but i’ve never done an entirely wrong paper before so i rlly didn’t care that much and i didn’t feel bad or stressed … everyone else was tho!)
I see one of my classmates and at first im like i legally cant speak to u, THEN I REALISE THIS BITCH DOES FOUNDATION ANYWAY LMAO???
So i spend an hour speaking to him bc legally i can’t socialise w anyone else bc my bsf does higher n stuff so uh yeah
After break (an hour and a half later) they had contacted the exam board (immediately ofc) bc the invigilators/exam ppl had already gone so they had to contact the exam board directly to get my paper
So it’s mid MY MATHS STOP-SESSION SO IM MISSING OUT REVISION FOR TMR, HOLY INFAIR? Idc that much but anyway i start my actual physics paper and it went alright! But holy shit that was fucked bruh

Uncalled for but fuck you to all my sighted classmates who act like i have life so much better bc of the accommodations i get FOR A DISABILITY. ❤️🥹
