Stubbed my big toe, not sure if I should get it looked at?

I whacked my big left toe on the coffee table this morning and it hurt like hell. The pain lessened so I tried not to focus on it, but it still did hurt all day today. I can move it and walk on it okay but I am in pain. When I got home I did ice it on and off. It does not appear swollen, but it is slightly red where I hit it, and I am in a considerable amount of pain. I am a type 2 diabetic, my blood sugar is controlled (last A1C was 5.5.) I just get anxious when it comes to anything feet related because of my diabetes. I’ve honestly never stubbed my toe so hard that it hurts for hours later. Do you think it is worth going to the doctor to get checked? I’ll be annoyed if they just tape it and send me on my way, doctors appointments are expensive. I guess I’m just wondering what other people would do in my position.

Basically, I got a savings card online for Trulicity around April 2024 (which I was taking at the time), brought it to Walgreens and it reduced my cost of the medication to $25 a month. Before that with my insurance it would've been around $500 a month.

I switched to Mounjaro about a year ago (April 2025) and asked if I had to switch coupon codes at Walgreens. They said no, it would still apply and I didn't have to worry about it.

I have been paying $25 a month for Mounjaro for about a year up until today, where I went to fill my prescription for May and was told my cost would be $400. They said that is the cost even when running the savings card. I didn't pay for it; I just told them I needed to figure out my options. No way can I afford that every month. It looks like with my insurance; I'd be paying around $550 a month without the coupon.

All I can really find about the savings card is that I need commercial insurance (which I do), need to have type 2 diabetes (which I do) and do not have any government assistance (which I also do not.) I understand there is a limit per year, but the year just started, so I don't think I've hit that total yet.

I am wondering what I should do. I did reach out to my endocrinologist just in case, but they are so busy that I might not hear back for a few days. Has anyone been through this situation before? Any advice?
