Hi everyone! I’m new to this group and I’m new to pilates in general. There is a new Pilates studio opening near me and I’m debating going through the training process and becoming a trainer there. I fully see how it may seem ridiculous for me to jump from not doing Pilates to getting certified to train it, but I think it could be a good fit for me and would love to hear what other trainer’s thoughts are on working as an instructor.
Below is some additional info:
-I really enjoy teaching and I am good at putting together activities and plans for a wide range of subject matter and I’m well-versed with helping people from many different backgrounds and in many different age groups.
-While I have no experience with reformer Pilates and would need to learn everything, I have been going to Burn Boot Camp, which does a variety of weight training and HITT training exercises for the last three years and I am in great physical shape
-I would complete an 18 month training course
-I am looking for a job that will allow me to work for only a couple of hours a week while my kids are at school or maybe only one evening a week because I am the primary care caregiver to my kids
-I am looking to have a job for a sense of identity and being able to combined my interest of physical fitness with my love of teaching, income is not an important aspect
