I am painting these Norse Orcs. Some of them have red beards and I thought it was going to look good on the Yeti/Troll. After I base coated and started to highlight it is a lot of orange. I am thinking I want to go to white/grey fur instead.
Thoughts?
We grow raspberries in our garden and every year about this time of year the new canes push out fruit. if I let them successfully fruit will they produce fruit next summer as well? I have typically cut them off to be sure I get my summer raspberry haul.
I want to get homeworld remastered from Steam and looking to get a new laptop. Will it work on a MacBook Neo or will I need a more powerful machine?
The Big Guy/Ulfwereners were easily the hardest minis I have ever painted. The fur cloaks alone took me an hour each.
On to the throwers/valkyries then goblins and the Troll.
They have been a lot of fun to paint and definitely the hardest models I have done to date.
This is how I store and transport my Canadian Amry.
I wanted something that worked with the unit, looked like I got it from a supply depot and could transport on the subway. It says PIAT and Caution on the two sides you can see. I purposely didn’t put anything on the sides I face out when travelling. I don't want to have to explain that I am not carrying dangerous cargo to other passengers or the cops. I also figure anyone who knows what a PIAT is, knows enough to know that the contents of box in 2026 probably isn’t dangerous.
It is made from a 2x4 ripped down to 1/2“ slats. The base is particle board with galvanized steel sheet glued and nailed through. It is assembled with glue and nails.
It can carry about 5500 points on 3 layers. The top layer was added when I ran out of space. The middle layer is high enough for my, infantry, artillery units or short armoured cars. The sides of the bottom section have enough height for a Sherman Firefly with a pintle mounted MMG. Normally when I go out I just take the bottom two layers with my army of the day.
I was at the TFC game today and noticed that there are some seats being obstructed by the screen. Are the tickets on the east side of the north end listed as obstructed view?

It looks like for about 100 seats you won’t be able to see part of the south east corner of the field. Some may not be able to see about 1/3 of the pitch.
I would hate to spend the grand it is going to take to go, maybe travel from around the world to see a game, only to miss the cross or long shot from outside the box.
