For context, this is from some archival footage of the 10th Anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party (1959).

I'm really frustrated right now. I just want to use the various brushes on stuff, but for some reason I can't figure out how to apply them.. Whether it's paths, basic shapes, type, anything.. nothing happens when I click on the brush options. All the tutorials I watch show the user simply selecting the object they want to apply a brush stroke to, and then selecting the brush they like, and it applies automatically (see here for example). I'm trying to do the exact same thing: I type a word, want it to have some rough edges, so I select the type and then one of the available brush presets, but nothing happens. Even on a simple line path, or a rectangle shape, selecting a brush does nothing.

Help me please! Never expected to be slowed down by such a simple operation.

My gf is using stremio on her MacBook and has installed the torrentio addon, however, she only has a few options for the same movie that I have dozens of options for on my TV. How can she get the rest?
