[Gery Woelfel] The Heat are the odds-on favorite to land Antetokounmpo in a trade. (from twitter)

Full tweet from Gery Woelfel, who appears to be a old credible local guy:

The Heat are the odds-on favorite to land Antetokounmpo in a trade.
Here is the package some NBA officials told me the Heat is offering the Bucks and my personal opinions on each the individuals involved:
* Tyler Herro — Potent scorer, fringe All-Star. But injury prone: Missed 49 games last season and 20 games two years ago.
* Jaime Jaquez Jr. — Just one start last season and projects to be more of quality sixth man than full-time starter.
* Kel’el Ware — Young (just 22), talented but wildly erratic. Reminds me of Hassan Whiteside. Remember him? Exactly.
* Draft picks — This year’s 13th overall pick, which should be a potential starter, and two future firsts. The latter pair will likely be late first-rounders and we all know how Horst has fared with late first-rounders.
CONCLUSION: Respectable offer … if your goal is to be a middle-of-the-pack team for the next six years.

EDIT: According to bucks people Gery is not credible

Clipping Campaign Questions

Looking to understand some best practices for running my own clipping campaigns on whop. Specifically:

- How impactful are campaigns where you are just requiring they use your song (rather than providing more video content) to streaming consumption?

- What works best when you do use video content?

- Are there any campaign rules or guidelines you think are absolutely necessary?

Would appreciate input here

What is JJJ's ceiling?

Last season, JJJ (age 24) averaged 15/5/5 on 51/32/77 splits (57 TS%, 4.2 WS, 1.1 VORP) playing 28 mins a game.

What is his absolute ceiling? Obviously there is room for the 3pt shooting to improve. What type of role could he have on a relevant team?

Potential Whales and Geriatric Whales Available

Just an educated list on who will be available, without any opinion offered on who I think the Heat should pursue:

Giannis - Probably Boston's if they want him

Jaylen Brown - If Boston acquires Giannis, he might be available to a 3rd team

Donovan Mitchell - Next year is the last year of his deal. If he doesn't extend, they would have to move him

Kawhi - At risk for whatever Aspiration penalty comes down - some GSW rumors, but them getting the 5th pick also might make them stand pat

Da'Aron Fox - Hes had a rough playoffs. Are the spurs ready to hand the keys to Castle / Harper

Durant - Houston locker room was not a fan. Might be willing to dump him for expiring

Lebron - Rumored most to GSW, with some Cle whispers. Miami return seems like a longshot unless we get a 1A first

AD - Unhappy in WAS. Will probably move this offseason

Trey Murphy - Has been on the block for a while - very high price and the Pistons are rumored for him

-----------

Who am I missing? Anyone else going to be available worth mentioning

Real Threats for Giannis

Summary of what we know (and from who) about what Giannis actually wants:

- He wants a "winning culture like the Mazzulla and Celtics" - direct quote from Giannis to Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel in Apr

- Not being traded to a west coast team because of travel to Greece from west coast - Bill Simmons to Zach Lowe https://clutchpoints.com/nba/milwaukee-bucks/bucks-rumors-bill-simmons-drops-giannis-antetokounmpo-trade-preference-intel

- Giannis doesnt like LA - direct quote

- Giannis has legitimate interest in Minnesota - Windhorst

- Hawks are not interested, nor are SAS or OKC - Mark Stein

Based on this, here are Bucks top options:

1. Boston - Brad Stevens all but screamed they want a Giannis type player, and there has been a ton of noise about Brown. If they're willing to move him, they get Giannis, so MKE can do the same 2 deal move PDX did with Dame

Giannis to Boston for Brown and 2-3 picks

Brown to PDX/Miami/ATL and whoever else for a haul

2. Cleveland - Cleveland can put Mobley and 2 1sts in a package for him, though they probably need commitment from Donovan before they're willing to do it. That said, Mobley + 2 1sts trumps Miami's best offer

3. Houston - Sengun, Sheppard/Jabari, and 3 picks is a solid offer. Sengun's stock dropped in the playoffs, but he is 23 and averaged 22 and 10

4. Miami - 26, 30, 32 1sts, Ware, Herro, and some Kas/JJJ/Pelle

5. Minnesota - They will have the same package at from the deadline (with Jaden's value increasing), + 3 picks they can move.

6. Orlando - They dont have picks, but Paulo, their 1st this year, and maybe another young player might get it done

Teams who probably wont be threats:

1. Knicks - Dont have the picks and the marquee player (KAT) isnt marquee enough, even after this offseason

2. Lakers - Luka doesnt want to move Reeves in a deal for Giannis and they dont have the assets otherwise

3. Spurs/Hawks/OKC - no interest in speeding up their timelines or parting with young pieces

4**. GSW/PDX/LAC -** Giannis doesnt want to be on the west coast

TLDR, essentially, if Boston is serious about moving JB for Giannis, and all the public messaging from credible people is that they are, they probably get him. Cleveland and Houston's best offers trump us too.

Dont get your hopes up

Not sure where I saw or heard it, but it seems pretty clear that this is going to happen because it’s the pettiest/funniest possible outcome for all involved against Miami

Boston gets Giannis
Portland gets Brown
MKE gets its pics back + other assets and young players (scoot, one of their centers, shaedon)

Cronin and Brad Steven’s hi five over fucking the heat over again. Giannis is on an east coast team closer to his family in Greece. Celtics get rid of the headache that is Jaylen Brown while trading him outside of the division. And the Bucks get their future back plus a few young players to speed up their rebuild

What option makes more sense?

Lively launched the brand in the summer of 2014 but had to close it up about a year later, telling Vogue it "never caught up to its original mission," as it is "not making a difference in people's lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way."

Now, sources have said a lot of "chaos" was going on behind the scenes, especially as her brother Eric ran the company.

"The entire company was an absolute disaster," a former staff member said. "The workplace allegations that Blake is making now [against Baldoni] are deeply ironic, given that it was one of the most insane, toxic, emotionally draining, and disorganized environments you could imagine."

The employees alleged that Eric frequently drank alcohol in the company, smoked pot, and even forced staff to work sitting on the floor for "months" before buying furniture.

"The impression [Blake] left on me after I worked at Preserve is that she doesn't care," another ex-employee said. "It was a really toxic work environment."

When the "toxic" culture became unbearable, senior staff reportedly set up a meeting with Lively to complain about Eric and ask for help in running the company, but she wasn't having any of it.

"[Blake] immediately shut it down and said she wouldn't be entertaining anything about her brother," an ex-staff member alleged. "The entire meeting was about Eric, and Blake just didn't want to hear anything about it, so it went nowhere."

"When they went to have the meeting, Blake didn't care about any of it and didn't want to hear about any of it," another former staffer said. "Which is why [some employees] ended up going through with legal action."

This seemed obvious enough, but after listening to the bozos at 5R fumble an explanation on their podcast, I'll spell it out.

  1. Giannis, Donovan Mitchell, Joker and others are FA's in 27

  2. Nobody expects those guys to make it to the summer of 27 without a new deal

  3. If one of those guys decide they want to come to Miami this summer, Miami needs the threat of signing them as a FA in 27 to make other teams less likely to go all-in on those guys, because the player is signaling they will walk the next summer.

The goal of 27 cap space is to make other bidding teams less likely to go all-in at the risk of the guy walking next summer. Riley needed the league to know they are planning to keep space open to increase the Heats leverage in trade negotiations.

This seemed obvious, but Greg and Ethan couldnt figure it out
