Front yard progress.

I think this is gonna be my layout for the totems. Getting my lighting figured out then I'll be placing plants around to hide the lights and make a path of sorts. Need to get all my stickmen out for the trees.

Totem update

All 4 totems have their base coats. Included some photos of the texture I get from misting water and blowtorch. As well as pressing the foli ball. Then just keep throwing sand in the drylock as you apply. The Jaguar took God damn forever to get full coverage. Since this is the waterproofing I really want to get it right. Gonna work on the mounting / bases now. Then I'll do the black paint.

Claremont hall walkthrough progress

Really focusing on getting my vines all finished so I can know what to work around. Won't seriously start working outside on the front till garage is more setup. But couldn't wait to get some more skeletons up. Been training these tomato vines since spring with this in mind. I also didn't plant a single one. All are volenterrs from last season.iv gotten probably 300 tomatoes off them. Really leaning into the jungle theme this year.

Vine rough placement progress

Still have a lot more to do but got another large vine made tonight. I think I'm gonna use cardboard to make some fake busted spots in the ceiling where the vines mount to the ceiling. Once IV made all my vines all paint everything at once. Then I plan on getting some fake leafs and attach them as well. Might wrap some twinkle lights in as well.

Claremont hall - vine progress

So these are 3 pool noodles long at the longest point.

I first starighten out double the length I need in 16 gauge wire. Then IV been feeding it around one of my metal banisters pulling it to do a single fold. Then grab with a vice grip and start twisting. Once I feel like there is a degree of danger I stop. I then bolt cut the other end at the top of the loop.

Then feed the braided wire through the pool noodles. If longer than a single noodle. IV been gaff taping the noodles together. But obviously anything will work.

I then have been heating a utility blade and cutting in details making thorns/suckers/ texture.

I then have been using old VGA cables and sniping the heads off. ( Fuck I should keep some and paint the VGA port to look like a snake. )

Then cling wrap and heat gun.

So this vine I think is 7 pool.noodles.
