Major Sickness - Hospital Blamed Meds

So I got very sick on Sunday. Like, vomiting for 7–8 hours straight sick. I couldn’t even keep Zofran down, which was absolutely miserable. My husband ended up taking me to the ER because I was literally throwing up foam at that point, no bile left, and I just could not stop (sorry if TMI).

At the ER they immediately blamed the tirzepatide. Which, okay, fair enough I guess, but they never really considered anything else. The weird part is I wasn’t on a new dose. It was a new vial though.

Of course my first thought was that I somehow miscalculated my dose. But I checked the math on Fat Scientist before taking it, and I’ve rechecked it twice since, everything was correct. So now I’m wondering if:

  1. I picked up some kind of stomach bug (my little niece got sick too, although nowhere near as intensely), or
  2. The vial was somehow much stronger than labeled.

I will go VERY far out of my way to never get sick like that again because that was honestly horrible.

Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience, either randomly getting violently sick on a stable dose (the hospital said it was common) or possibly having issues with a vial seeming stronger than expected?

Maybe not everything is Pom’s fault…

I called TPH today since I really haven’t gotten much information about my order from 5/1 (paid, and I was told the order had already been sent over). The rep told me they received it on 5/2, it was put on hold on 5/4, reviewed on 5/5, and then finally released.

I was kind of like… okay, but that’s still almost a week just sitting there. So I asked if there was at least a timeline for shipping, and she said probably tomorrow.

The whole process has definitely been frustrating, especially with the lack of communication, but maybe, just maybe, Pom is actually doing most of what they can on their side. Better updates and transparency would go a long way though.

Shout out to AA for refunding my baggage fees without me having to beg.

I recently went on a trip and had to be rebook on an AA flight as my first flight before a connection in DFW, when I checked in I was charged for baggage. Annoyingly, I had prepaid with the original airline. The agent behind the desk did not care at all. went on the trip, got back and hadn’t even had the energy to fight with AA, then I got an email saying I had been refunded!

So here’s to an airline doing something right and easy! May it happen more often and for all!
