We just spoke to CHP to confirm, they have closed the highway from 47200 SR-1 (Fernwood Resort) to Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park Vista Point (MPM 37).

"Gunman" at the point - Update

Hello, KSBW 8 here, we spoke to police this morning after seeing the other Reddit post.

Police told us the man was holding a toy gun with an orange tip and that no crime was committed. No one reported to police that he "menaced" them with the toy gun (which would be a crime). They spoke to him and he was released.
