Abatement company, possible fraud

I’m dealing with severe stomach ache at this point and could really use a rational assessment of my situation.

I hired a licensed asbestos removal company to demolish asbestos-containing bathroom tiles in my apartment. I was not present during the work. They told me they would establish a containment area with an airlock/negative pressure setup, but obviously I have no way of verifying what actually happened while I was gone.

My bed and most of my belongings are in an adjacent room about 4–5 meters away from the bathroom.

The reason I’m close tonpanicking is that literally the same day they started, the company appeared in national news here in my country. Hidden camera footage allegedly showed them handling asbestos carelessly, spreading dust everywhere, and ignoring safety procedures.

To make matters worse, the Working Environment Authority has reportedly issued the company 8 immediate enforcement orders related to unsafe asbestos handling.

The owner was also exposed for unrelated fraud involving sick cancer-ridden children, so my trust in them is basically zero at this point.

So now my brain is going straight to worst-case scenario:
If we assume the containment was completely fake and they were as careless in my apartment as reported in the news, is it realistic that my entire apartment and belongings are now permanently contaminated? Or is that catastrophic thinking?

I’m especially worried about fibers settling into bedding, furniture, gaps near baseboards, etc., and then being continuously re-aerosolized over time.

I have not yet returned home since the work started.
