Does any owner of this particular guitar knows / tried to put 0.80+ string on it? I wanna experiment a little but I don’t know if putting 0.84 or 0.90 string will cause problems (bridge, nut).
Do you transpose digitally your guitar when you're recording and producing metal song? Or always re-tune guitar and never use transposing in recording context? My lowest tuning on guitar is Drop G# but sometimes I need even lower tuning like drop F etc. Do I need to buy another guitar or just transpose? I feel like transposing to -3 semitone for single notes is fine but power chords are getting artifacts and chugs are weaker but maybe I'm doing something wrong. I use mostly Archetype Gojira X.
I want to learn piano, but I see it mainly as a key to better understanding music and becoming a better producer/composer. I produce metal-oriented music with a lot of electronics, and I'm an intermediate guitar player.
Can you recommend some good learning sources? Books, videos, or blogs focused on composing, music theory, harmony, different techniques, and improvisation? I've heard that learning jazz is a great way to deeply understand music.
Also, should I sign up for lessons with a piano teacher? I'm just afraid of wasting my time and money on classical music that might have zero impact on my production skills.
Hi everyone, If I put a Humbucker pick up on bridge instead of single-coil (Stratocaster S S S), should I change the volume pot from 250k to 500k? I heard HumBuckers sound better with 500k but I don’t know.
