[Switch OLED] No Bluetooth (WiFi OK) after APU reballing, clear antenna issue or failed repair ?
Hey!
I got this BSOD Switch OLED on Vinted for cheap in hopes to practice kamikaze, but figured I might as well try to revive it so I went and attempted a reball.
Had a few issues with 0201 caps going haywire when pulling the chip, but I soldered back some new ones with all resistances seemingly in the right ballpark.
Console now boots up fine and everything I could test is working (5Ghz Wi-Fi included) EXCEPT for Bluetooth.
Obvious culprit would be the antennae cables as they look completely f*cked but what makes me doubt they're the culprit is that they still "work" as far as Wi-Fi goes (signal gets better when they're plugged in).
I am waiting for a replacement to arrive and test it out, but I do wonder whether they can be fixed by soldering a new cable in the meantime?

Before I fully end it I do wonder if there might be something else I've overlooked so I took a video from under the scope :
- I am very much struggling at dissolving the flux I've used here (2UUL "EcoFlux") even under heat and IPA with cleanroom wipes (could an ultrasonic cleaner be a good purchase for cases like these?)
- there's quite a strong "nick" in the PCB under the APU shield but it does not seem to have exposed copper or ripped traces
the cap left of the APU seems shorted to ground and looks kind of cookednvm its an inductor- I could only see one ripped GND pad top-left under the APU (pic) and did not notice anything else, didn't bother fixing it
Sorry for the long post but I've gotten so much weird sh*t happening on Switch consoles recently I figured I could use the help. 😬
