PLEASE HEALTH CHECK AND WEIGH YOUR BIRD DAILY. My girl was almost dead overnight after eating a crumb off the floor.

Please please weigh and check your birds at home DAILY.

Only see AVIAN VETS.

Sometimes we forget how delicate they can be and they can die within hours of an accident.

My Nap was on the floor for a few seconds and must have picked up some sort of crumb of either paint or metal.

She acted absolutely fine until later she was throwing up, wouldnt open her eyes wouldnt eat, and wouldnt move.

Please dont forget how delicate they are and make sure to do at home daily health checks so this never happens to you or them. I dont know what I would've done if I lost her.

Birds hide illness until they're actually dying as they are a prey animal. Heres what to look out for.

Signs of early illness

Sleepier than usual

Eating less

Thirsty

Unusual droppings

Not as exitable as normal

Quieter/Not as vocal

Any weight loss

Dont overlook these, they only give little hints when theyre sick so catch it before its too late.

P.s, make sure if they are staying overnight at a vets that there is 24/7 care. I almost left her there until I questioned when the vets go home which was 5:30pm. So she would've been there alone all night and would have died by herself. I kept her home with me and held her on my chest medicating her for 2 days until she got better.

Thanks for all your advice, from ginger to mint leaves, cuddling him seems to be there only way to stop him from being sick.

I've tried ginger tea

Covering the carrier

Showing him the window

Holding the carrier

Keeping him on my finger

Keeping him in my hand

The only thing that works is a cuddle in my shirt. Poor Kun.
