Question about save data when upgrading
So for context I just bought the standard edition game digitally on my PS5 about a month ago, and I think it’s an absolute blast! I even bought the season pass for the Haus and Sola DLC’s after playing for a bit to get to when I finish the story, because I saw the season pass was on sale.
All that to say, the bonus weapons and skins I don’t have yet aren’t exactly essential purchases, just something that would be neat to get. I recently saw that the Ultimate Edition of the game which includes all those missing bonuses is on a major sale on the PS Store for only $6.99
So my question for anyone who may know is this: Since it’s on a major discount that is tempting me to buy it, will purchasing the Ultimate Edition version of the game upgrade my already installed version to include all the bonuses? Or will it count as a separate version of the game that doesn’t include any of my save data and make me restart from scratch?
I don’t want to restart all my progress just for some bonus skins and weapons when I already have the major DLC stuff, so I wanted to ask before I go out and buy in case anyone here has done this sort of thing before. Thank you!
