Sliding Privacy Camera Cover

I ordered some camera covers which work great on laptop and hoped it would also work on my iPad. However, I've already a screen protector which doesn't allow it to fit. Are there others anyone know of that would work here?

Balancing NEEDS to Change

TLDR: Just scroll down to the charts!

I stopped playing CoD after MWII (2022). I tried MWIII and BO6 but didn't like them. Back to playing BO7 and I "enjoy" it. It felt more like classic CoD again... except the 73 different kill streaks, the mounting, the wall-jumping, the moronic skins, and battle pass. There are lots of garbage that have existed in the game for a long time, also! Things such as:

  • netcode issues
    • lag, TTK vs TTD differences
    • dying after ducking behind cover and being no where near the corner when the replay shows you standing in full view.
  • crappy spawns
    • Spawning with or directly in front of an enemy
  • xp tokens counting down in menu
    • Seriously? Everyone...EVERYONE gets interrupted by something and it counts down in menu wasting it!
  • knife running
    • it just sucks!
  • cheaters
    • Yes, I've also seen A LOT more than I ever had in the past.
    • Blatant walls and pre-firing
    • But this isn't the point of this post right now. Still sucks, though!

You can cast all those to the side for moment because there is specifically one gripe that I point to! That's beyond a shadow of doubt the balancing of teams.

Keep in mind, I've played CoD long enough, on Xbox and PC (PC mainly now) to know how the game works. But this so far has been the worst case of any game when it comes to balancing. It started out fine the first few months I played. Getting used the game again after a few years not caring about it had its hiccups, and then I clicked in. CoD has always felt good for me. It plays pretty well. It's the one FPS I can come back to and get used to again and do reasonably well. I was back to enjoying the game and playing like I had the previous years.

Yay, I'm back...

In the last two months, something switched. I can barely stay above 1.00 K/D in a match. My current overall K/D is 1.46 and I'm honestly surprised it's not under 1 at this point. It feels completely different now! What's different? Well, one thing I learned not knowing at first, which I can tell you now is NOT the culprit, is that quickplay doesn't have SBMM.

Side note: I remember seeing posts and videos about how awful SBMM was during MWII and generally agreed on some of those things... because it was just one system at the time and it seemed absolutely broken. Even the devs themselves explain that skill is not as important as engagement (to them). https://www.dexerto.com/call-of-duty/call-of-duty-devs-finally-explain-skill-based-matchmaking-2504403/ "When it comes to CoD’s multiplayer matchmaking, there are two key factors the system takes into account — connection (Ping is King) and time to match (how long it takes to get into a match)"

I'm seeing a new term: EOMM (engagement optimized matchmaking; if you didn't know). Ugh! No wonder. It was broken years ago and it's still worse than ever. It felt so awful, that I decided to stick around for 40 straight matches (no quitting) whether they were awful or not and decided to take notes and made a spreadsheet to prove it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!

Considering the game-types the "Standard Moshpit" playlist has, I set Quickplay's filter to those game-types. Then I had a decision to make. What was considered a "balanced game?" I didn't feel that I could go off of the various teammates' and opponents' K/D, so I had to stick to score. If the losing team's score was within 85% of the winning team's score... I'll call that balanced. Why 85, IDK. Sounded like a good number. In TDM, 100 to 95-99 is a close game. Almost anything else, disgustingly toxic asinine players are spamming "2ez" in the chat! So I subtracted 10 from the 95 just to be plenty generous.

No SBMM, supposedly.

Well, that generosity doesn't scream balance in the least. Bottom line, only 24% of matches are "balanced." It doesn't matter if I'm on the winning team or not. This is egregious! Oh, you noticed the Standard Moshpit tab? What's that? Oh... yeah, I did another 40 matches on Standard Moshpit. It's supposed to consider skill, right? Sure, let's take a look...

\"They're the same picture.\" - Pam Beesly

... nope, it sucks! It's all bad. This isn't going to work for us, Activision! I don't know what you are doing, but it's not actually figuring out how to put players of a reasonable similar skill together, because you keep placing me on a team with zero prestige level 10 or less, while half the other team has 60+ kills and 4 deaths. Obviously, the dollar signs in your eyes are preventing you from actually doing something good for the game. How is this considered "AAA" anymore?

Look, I understand that every now and then, someone will have a really great game. They get lucky, run into opponents who aren't paying attention in their direction and so on. I've had them, too! However, when 3 people on the same team are having an AMAZING game, and cause the score 250 to 13 (look at the screenshots again, that's one of the games), something's wrong with the system. For those that play the game A LOT, and I mean A LOT, they may not feel that way. That's because they are having fun. Let's be honest. I wouldn't complain or notice that the state of the game sucks in this way if I was having "great games" all the time either.
