TLDR: Planning on buying the Triumph Speed 400 but hesitating because of the E20 fuel situation. Need advice!
I’m in a bit of a dilemma and could really use some perspective from people who actually know about this stuff.
I’ve been planning on buying the Triumph Speed 400. I love the look, test-ridden it and liked it and after looking at the great reviews I was gonna go for it.
But after looking at some posts and reading about the E20 fuel situation, I'm hesitating now. Since I work from home, I won't be using it daily. It might sit in the garage for a week or two at a time, and I’ve heard that letting ethanol-blended fuel sit is bad.
Some of my non-biker friends are telling me to just go electric or get an EV car. I'm not a hardcore biker but I do enjoy bikes and I want one. This would be my first bike, and I mainly plan on riding it with friends or the occasional ride by myself. But I don't want to be worrying about fuel stabilizers or servicing frequently. I'm just a casual rider looking for a reliable machine.
Is the Speed 400 still a "safe" investment in 2026 with the fuel changes?
Would love to hear from Speed 400 owners or anyone who’s dealt with the E20 transition. Thanks!
