My grandmother used this little bottle to keep a freshwater pearl that her husband found. They were from Kankakee, IL.

Should I have this professionally graded?

My grandfather found this pearl in a clam from the Kankakee River that they lived by in Wilmington, IL in 1937.

If it’s worth more than a few thousand dollars I may, tearfully, consider selling it. Times are incredibly difficult and I have no one to leave it to when I pass.

Also, anyone happen to know anything about this neat jar that she kept it in?
