I'll start: Apex, Unleash the Archers
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sick. Devastated. It feels like a complete waste of a year because it was.
That being said, it’s still true that we needed to make the Zubac trade.
Everything we said about the fact that there’s no true C (which we needed) in this draft is true.
Fact of the matter is, if we kept this pick, we still would have been disappointed in 5. We draft Keaton Wagler or Darius Acuff at 5 and those guys are buried in our rotation and not helping us next year.
We still gave up a guy that we weren’t resigning, a seldomly used role player, and a lottery ticket that didn’t pay out (and wouldn’t have regardless) for a big we needed.
In this league, you have to gamble, especially as a small market. We lost. But that doesn’t make the move itself bad. The trade was still worth it.
Now we pick ourselves up, quit feeling sorry for ourselves, and go into next season with the same team that made the finals, and a better C. Yes it sucks, but we move. Go Pacers
Don’t get me wrong, I was frustrated going from 5-2 to 5-4. But after thinking about it, with our history, it may not be the worst thing we’re not going into Munich with a large lead.
Historically, we’ve always had trouble when we’re clearly in the drivers seat and the other team has the ability to score quickly. Say we go into Munich up 5-2 and Bayern scores 2 quick goals. We’re gonna start getting nervous, worried about blowing the lead, etc. we tend to get ahead of ourselves and think we’ve already won going into a 2nd leg with a large lead
Going in 5-4, you have to be locked in. That’s still basically a 50-50 game, and you can’t take your opponent for granted.
One of the most common patterns I see in this sub is “YouTube isn’t pushing me” “why is it taking so long?” Etc.
While there are certainly times that we can complain about the YouTube algorithm, or their AI detection, or anything else, but I’d say 90% of the time it’s not YouTube, it’s you.
Quite honestly a lot of the videos I see posted asking why they aren’t being pushed are sloppily thrown together, compilations of more famous creators, AI voiceovers, if they aren’t AI voiceovers they’re bad audio quality, awful thumbnail designs, or just quite simply topics no one cares about. You will not make it big no matter how long you try until you actually up your quality and post in a niche people want to see.
A couple questions to ask yourself:
Do I actually care about this topic? Is it a passion of mine, or am I doing this because I think I can make some easy money/get famous?
Have I actually put in an investment in my equipment to make good quality videos?
Do I have a good speaking voice? (This matters more than you think, people don’t want to hear AI voiceovers)
Is my niche something people actually want to see? I have a number of interests that I’d like to post about, but very few people care about them like I do. I don’t try to force it, I just acknowledge my audience wants a specific thing, so I provide that. Remember, you don’t make videos for yourself (if you care about getting big) you make them for your audience
if you’ve thought about these things, and you’re doing them the right way, then you have a good chance to make it. If not, it’s gonna be much more difficult
