Hi there! Strange as it may sound, I am trying to extract metals from milk. Does anyone know the best way to do that? So far, I have thought about burning off the organic carbon in a kiln (after freeze drying?), then washing with distilled water, and then using a 2-5% concentration of citric acid for 24 hours to dissolve the remaining calcium, magnesium, and sodium. Hopefully, I will just be left with metals at that point. Strange post, I know.

Does anyone here have a flame fusion setup for sapphire? I have a project I have been working on for a year or so. I am looking to custom dope sapphires with minerals extracted from natural sources. Any advice? I have looked in to overseas crystal makers.
