Stripped ?

Garage door stopped working the other day. Made a terrible grinding sound. Door and springs are ok, I replaced the alright about 1 1/2 years ago. I can lift it by hand and stays open about half way. If I lift it up further it wants to drop all the way.

Prior to this we started having funny issues where about 6 inches from the bottom, would go back up. I made a slight adjustment to the limits.. it went wonky when we hit some high temperatures so I thought maybe the springs were affected by the heat, but I know that's not the case.

Anyway, door was going down after the above fix, but now when going up wasnt going 100% of the way, stopped about 90% up but enough to get car in and out. Then this happened.

I think the gears are done but nothing is budging, chain is fully locked up. I dont see the chain stuck on anything. I have it disengaged from the chain but the chain won't move. I feel like if it it was locked up, still might work but I need some new parts now. Lots of plastic shavings came off.

Can't Understand - Sim card Problems

My wife's phone has been having off and on Sim card problems for a week, and last Thu the card just stopped.

Looking online it said to visit a Roger's store, so we did. He asked if we wanted an Esim or Sim.. I've never had this option before. We checked her phone, its an S20 FE and not compatible with Esim, so would have to be physical. Ok, thats all we've ever had, sounds good. $10 but he said I'd have to call Rogers to activate it or I could do it myself online.

I tried online. There's a handy little button that says Manage Sim card.. but when you click on it to change cards, you have to receive a text to verify. We can't receive texts. It says if you can't receive texts.. go to a store. So I figured I'd call in the morning.

Fri Am at 730 I called. My wife s a teacher and had a big field trip planned that day, needs her phone so thought I'd get on early. She left and I was still on hold. 930 I talked to someone. Explained it all.. she took the Sim card number and put me on hold. Came back, on hold again. After about 20 minutes she said, sorry, we can't activate it on our end, you have to go the store where you bought it. She added notes to an incident report, gave me a number, said to quote it etc., they'd read it and be good.

Went back to the store. He said they can't do it..only corporate stores can. Where is one? None in the city we live in. He said customer service gets it wrong and they can't do it. So I ask, what do we do ? I just need a new Sim card on their plan. He said they could activate an Esim through a compatible phone. Well, my phones older than my wife's so that won't work. They have no other options.

I dont know what to do. I just need a new physicial Sim card after there's stopped. Am I being trolled ?

I think my only option left is to cancel and find someone that will give me a Sim card.

Even if we got a device that's E Sim compatible, does if have to be on Rogers to do the Esim and Physical Sim swap thing ? My son has a s23 that's E Sim compatible but he's on a different carrier.
