I (27F) have depression and sometimes I just want to turn off my phone, be a ghost, and not exist for a couple of days. I pay my bills and do my part, but my family completely crashes out whenever I go off the grid.
Here's the issue: the rest of my family are all men who do not have their shit together. Because I’m the daughter, they expect me to "lead by example" and be the glue holding the immediate and extended family together. Basically, if I don't do it, nothing gets done. I am so exhausted from emotionally babysitting grown men.
I’ve told them multiple times that these dynamics are toxic and stressful for me. Instead of listening, they tell me I’m "not a team player" and call me ungrateful. They think they have a say in my life just because we're family, and the second I actually draw a line, they treat me like the big devil and stonewall me

I’m asking bc I grew up seeing my mom being sick and my dad wouldn’t even bring her meds and I wanted to see what norm is
This has been consistent with all of my uncles and my aunts husbands as well
Is this how they be when they settled and not married the love of their life or is this what happens in General ?
Now I know this isn’t how they all act but I this what I have seen and witnessed
