Passive House in the Colorado Mountains for full-time living - Water Cistern under the house or buried externally?

Title basically, wife and I are building a passive, 100% offgrid house in the Colorado Mountains. (~6kft elevation, so mid mountains)

House will be ICF crawlspace underneath - is it better to bury the cistern tank under the house or externally next to the house?

Plan for now is to fill cistern by truck, but eventually we'd like to get the well that came with the property back up and running.

You're given a stack of low res .jpg files for a Sponsor slideshow. How much effort do you put in to fixing or finding better quality images?

Title essentially. We do a bunch of work with non-profits and small government events where the sponsors are all local businesses and their logo was made by someone a decade ago.

I typically will throw the image into gimp, scale it up, do some basic cleanup work, then send it - but does anyone not do this? Is there something else I should be doing? Generally, how would you approach this?

[BOTW][TOTK] Is it worth the money to buy the Nintendo Switch 2 versions of BoTW and ToTK

Title basically - Wondering if it's worth spending the money to buy the Switch 2 versions of Breath if the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Edit since it's come up a couple times: I already own Bote and ToTK for the original switch. Was mostly trying to see if it was worth doing the upgrade.

Lighting Batten Power - Are archectural controls required for small venues? Dimmer packs, relay packs, etc.

Helping re-design a church that is trying to become more of a rentable event center. Medium sized stage (12ft grid height, 20ft wide x 35ft deep)

For many years I've always spec'd an architectural power system, usually ETC with echo controls.

However; is that actually necessary in a rig that's 100% LED? Or can I have the electrician just run direct circuits to each batten all based on a dedicated sub-panel?

Do large line arrays not travel in road cases?

We are finalizing our next investment in a larger, actual array system from our VRX rig. One of the things Ive noticed is larger arrays don't seem to have road cases? How does this work for truck packing? Is there just a semi half full of array carts?

Are all manufacturer apps terrible? Is Mixing Station truly the way forward?

Recently upgraded to an A&H Avantis board, love it so far. Downloaded the app so the A2 could do monitors on stage.

WTF is with the double tap BS? Why can't I just select the Mix I want and add to it? I shouldn't need to watch a freaking YouTube video to understand how to navigate you're app.

Should I expect similar functionality on the SQ6 and SQ5 and our QU16?

(Also, why doesn't the Avantis have multi-track recording built in but the SQ series does? How does that make sense?)

Long story short, I'm getting the Avantis license for Mixing Station and going that route.

SRT stream going black randomly

I have 3 ZowieTek ZowieBox encoder/decoders. One of them is currently configured to receive a SRT stream from VMix. (Since VMix can only output Ndi full and ZowieTek needs NDI HX)

At our last event (a free community concert) the LED wall would randomly go black then come back on and I have no idea why - the Preview screen in the ZowieBox GUI did not reflect the change at all. It showed the stream fine, no issues.

LED Wall Processor: Taurus TB50

VMIX set to 1080p 60 SRT at 60mbs

Separate Video VLAN from other traffic configured for NDII

[Help] Live Thumbnail's from VMIX on Elgator Stream Deck?

Lighting guy who was thrown into Video for the foreseeable future.

I have a rack mounted PC with VMix and Media Master on it.

I'm feeding Media Master into VMIX via NDI plus 3 NDI cameras and have a sponsor slideshow that I need to playback.

I'm trying to get Live Thumbnail's of my VMIX sources as thumbnail icons on my Stream Deck MK2 but struggling to find a tutorial on how to do it?

Anyone here done this and able to help?

Simple, Affordable Gluten Free restaurant options near the Convention Center?

Visiting Vegas for a conference - and while the first couple days have been fun to explore food options, I'd like something simple and affordable the rest of the week.

Found Vickies Diner and Lou's Diner on Google - anyone know if they're safe for folks with wheat allergies?

Open to other recommendations as well, I do have a car so driving isn't an issue

NDI noob - I thought this was supposed to be easy? Good resources to learn?

NDI noob here-

I'm trying to get my Resolume Arena output to be routed to another computer as a dedicated decoder.

I have NDI Tools on both computers, both on the same subnet, with proper Layer 3 configurations but neither see's the other in Discovery tool.

Eventually, the decoder computer is going to be replaced with a dedicated NDI Decoder but it got delayed in shipping so trying to get this ready for our event.

LTT Store Really Really needs to get better at communicating. Order on Apr 1st still hasn't shipped, and outside of 1 announcement on WAN show there's been 0 Updates.

I own a business - If I were to ghost my clients for 2 months after they placed an order, I would 100% be asked for a refund and fired as a contractor/vendor. I wouldn't have a business to run if I left my clients in the dark.

I understand logistics, having to place an emergency second order, etc.

I would have also appreciated an email explaining the situation, not just a short update during WAN Show and then silence.

I'm not asking for constant updates, but maybe just a monthly email with updates?

I've backed Kickstarter's that have better communication skills than LTT does.

Client wants to migrate MSPs, refuses to give me contact info for who is in charge next - just wants an excel document of accounts and passwords. How to proceed? Hold harmless doc?

Title, I have a small but difficult client that wishes to go to someone else for their MSP. Which is fine, I'm happy to support them through the transition and give them everything they need.

The weird part is they refuse to give me the contact info of whoever is taking over. They just want me to provide an excel document of all the accounts I use, my "technician email" for their system management, and let them go away.

To me, this is a huge red flag - I want to ensure my technician email is deleted once I'm gone and whoever is in charge has their own admin account, etc.

Anyone ever dealt with a similar situation? Would a hold harmless document work in this situation? I don't want to make them feel "trapped" but I also can't offboard them if there's no one to offboard too

Clients first gen UDM died, decided to take it apart before sending it to recycling. Pretty well thought out design imo

Clients first gen UDM died due to the cabinet fan not being setup correctly. (Client's son-in-law decided the fan should pull air in, not vent out but the cabinet had no other output. UDM and his AVR basically cooked themselves to death)

Decided to see if I could repair it for use at home. Had fun disassembling it, couldn't find replacement parts so it's going to scrap. Very well thought out design and assembly.

Artnet/SaCN on Unifi Pro Max hardware?

Looking to hear both success and horror stories - heavily considering getting the Pro Max line of switches for smaller shows, say 4 to 6 universes and no pixel mapping?
