If you think your content will be perfect just because of the hook, nope man.

If you don't deliver on the promise after the "See more," people won't read your posts again. So don't just focus on writing a great hook.... make sure the rest of your content delivers what the hook promised.

My LinkedIn impressions dropped... but my leads increased.

About a year ago, almost every post I published was getting 100k+ impressions.

At the time, I thought I was doing everything right. I was posting content that my audience loved:

  • Web design tips
  • Marketing advice
  • Free resources
  • Trend-based content

The engagement was great. The reach was great.

The leads? Not so great.

So I went deep into content strategy and realized something important:

I was writing for my engagement audience, not my buyer audience. Most of the people interacting with my content were designers and marketers. But the people I actually wanted to work with were founders and business owners.

So I changed my approach. I stopped chasing viral posts and started creating content around:

  • Real client problems
  • Case studies
  • Lessons from projects
  • Founder challenges
  • Personal experiences building my business

The result? My impressions dropped significantly.

But my inbound leads increased.

And when I check who's engaging with my posts now, I see far more founders than designers and marketers. For me, that was a much better trade-off.

My takeaway:

If your goal is reach and virality, write for your engagement audience.

If your goal is leads and clients, write also for your prospect audience.

Sometimes fewer impressions can be a sign that your content is actually becoming more effective.

Has anyone else experienced something similar on LinkedIn?

A website where people can roast your landing page

Users submit their website and receive brutally honest feedback from visitors.

Would people actually use this, or would it become too toxic?

Anyone else lose momentum for a few days after coming back from a trip?

I have a weird problem. Whenever I travel somewhere, I get super excited and motivated. During the trip I'm thinking about all the things I'm going to work on when I get back. I make plans in my head and feel full of energy.

But when I actually return home, the first 2-3 days are the complete opposite. I feel disconnected from my workflow and struggle to get back into work mode. It's almost like traveling gives me motivation, but coming back kills my momentum for a few days.

Does anyone else deal with this? What helps you get back into your routine faster?

How I Got My First Client on LinkedIn

I got my first clients through Fiverr (freelance marketplace), so I always thought freelance marketplaces were the only way to get work.

At that time, I had started posting on LinkedIn, but honestly, I had no strategy, no content plan, and no funnel. I was just sharing random thoughts and experiences.

One day, someone from India commented on one of my posts and asked me to check my DMs. I did, and he told me he needed a landing page designed for his web design agency.

I was genuinely surprised because it was my first inbound lead that came directly from LinkedIn.

To make things more personal, I sent him a quick selfie video explaining how I could help with the project. He liked my approach and agreed to move forward.

That became my first LinkedIn client and now 90% of our lead source is my LinkedIn profile (ha-ha)!

▲ 1 r/framer

Today when I opened Facebook and X, I saw a lot of people saying that Framer template marketing is dead.

I'm a bit out of the loop here. What's actually happening?

Would love to hear from people who are actively selling Framer templates right now.

LinkedIn algo really said: “Cool story bro… but did people actually READ it?”😭

Looks like likes don’t matter that much anymore.

Now LinkedIn cares more about saves, meaningful comments, dwell time. So those “Agree?” posts with 500 likes might be fighting for survival now💀

Basically the longer people stay on your content, the happier LinkedIn becomes.

Which means…
Creators who share actual insights + start conversations are probably gonna win big now.

Meanwhile engagement bait creators:
“CFBR 🙏”
