Helping finding what these parts are

Image 1: is the first thing that went out. Just a blank. Do I use a multimeter on the other one to measure it? But I also don’t know the name of it.

Image 2/3: Barely noticeable but it’s a SMD 4380 resistor that I can only find on alibaba and surprisingly not eBay. Is this for sure before I buy?

Also what kind of battery should I use to test this once it isn’t fixed? I used my drill battery and it was fine when I first got my tail lights but fast forward a year I did it again and blue the first one.
I desoldered it and put it back on just to keep testing the wires cause I forgot what did what and I need up blowing the 4380s the go on the LED strips.

Please I would really love some help with this. I’m not super into electronics like this. You can say I’m like one of the “mechanics” who doesn’t know how to diagnose a car and just knows how to sketch out parts. The most I do is solder wire or first project was replace my joysticks on a controller.

Chevy Cruze 2014 1.5 Automatic. Solo acceleration, shut off, no crank, no start.

I have a feeling I screwed something up pretty bad. Monday I was trying to swap H7 halogen bulbs with LEDs for my after market headlights. They wouldn’t budge and my buddy from work told me since projector lights get hot it might’ve shrunk the plastic making it hard to pull off. I got the passenger side off, driver side was harder and from what I could barely see it looked like I cracked the bottom of the bulb or it was just the plastic so I said nvm. I’ll order new connection, cut the old ones off and install new better connections to avoid the same issue.

Put them back in. Driver side light was pointing to the right the next morning on the way to work. Still no issues. Just assumed since something was cracked it just wasn’t sitting right or I was carelessly touching the lens of the bulb and I formerly didn’t care. I would’ve just swapped it with the high beam bulb since they’re the same.

Yesterday (Tuesday) got out of work and I started the car and it struggled to turn on and turned off and cranked it again and it was fine.

Drive home, I speed up to pass some cars and after I did. Simply cruised and the car started accelerating like someone driving stick shift jerking the car. I threw it in neutral and it turned off and turned it back on and took a different route to avoid heavy traffic and it was fine until I was 2 blocks away from my house at a stop sign. Just wouldn’t turn on at all.

Put on my hazards and got out to check if they were on cause people kept stopping right on my ass waiting for me to go when I kept waving them to pass. The rear lights were on. The passenger side, fine. Driver said, only the signal light was working but the low beam was on.

Tried to unplug the headlight assuming it was that. I couldn’t. It was stuck as well.

Managed to turn on the car and parked it and shut off on its own.
Got the same message I got all the times it shut off. “Service airbag” “service steering” and when I managed to unplug the light I turned it on and got home. At one out it even said It said I needed gas when I had just filled it up on Sunday.

Looked up why this is and “faulty wires” can be one of the issues…

Changed the battery since the guy at oriellys said it was bad. Went the dealership to see if I had warranty on my battery. They said no so I bought one. Installed it and same thing. Couldn’t put my window up. No crank, no start.

Looked up some stuff and could be

  1. A fuse (didn’t find any blown fuses).

2.Only one idk how to test if the battery fuse is bad.

  1. Battery or alternator

  2. Mobilizer?

So I went to grab some old key fobs. One still happened to work. Was able to lock and unlock the car. I tried that one and the car turned on and I was happy and then it shut off…. Tried turning it on again and nothing. Does the same thing. No crank, no start…

So I’m lost on what to do. I thought of saying screw it and change the battery fuse since it’s only about $34 and hope it works but if it’s not that then I’m assuming it the mobilizer. Since the current key didnt work and an old did. I was even able to put my window up.

Help with taillight rewiring

Originally this post was going to be about the rewiring and it still is but I noticed this resistor? Capacitor? Burnt and I’m sure I did that testing the connections earlier today. I’ve been sitting with these lights for about a year so I forgot what’s does what and sure enough that happened.

It still works with the part but smoking so what is that part I need to replace?

Once I replace that part, the issue is that the brake light stays on even though the brakes aren’t applied.

The taillight is upside down. Just ignore the yellow and black. That’s for the turn signals.

I’m still going to try and do it on my own and hope I get it. Currently going through a scrap PSP/GSA SP and see if I can pull it off that.

Thank you in advance.
