Controls location

We’re trying to decide between two units, one with controls at the top/rear of the stovetop and the other with the controls on the front of the unit. I personally like the controls at the rear of the stovetop, but have heard that the heat from the oven venting can damage the electronics if they are mounted there. Does anyone have any experience with this?

TIA

Tire replacements?

Hi all - we have heard that the added weight of EVs means that if you clip a curb you are more likely to need a new tire than with standard ICE vehicles. Does anyone have experience of this? We aren’t in the habit of hitting curbs, but it would be nice not to take a $500 hit if we make a li’l mistake.

Level 1 charging Ioniq 5?

Hi all — sorry if this has been answered elsewhere; I did look. We are on the point of purchasing an Ioniq 5 or a Kona but have some questions about charging. Our house is on a 100-amp service right now and the panel is full. Upgrading to 200 amp will be $$$ so we’re sort of wondering if we can use an existing circuit for level one charging. We live in Victoria, BC, and drive fewer than 20 km a day almost all the time.

Am I deluding myself or is this a feasible option to avoid the upgrade and level two charger installation?

TIA!
