Higher prescription/new frames issues

Higher prescription/new frames issues

So I wear progressive lenses and my recent prescription increased. My optometrist recommended high index lenses, which I purchased. My frames are not big. I’ve been wearing my new glasses for about a week but the added weight is hurting my nose bridge. I don’t know what to do?? I’ve never had this issue. 😩 Should I have ordered another frame??

Streaming or dish?

So, we’ve had a satellite dish for years. No issues… This week my roofers had to remove my old dish to install the new roof and so I’ve been streaming. I called DirecTV and it seems I have a grandfathered plan that includes all the channels I like. If I go with streaming, I’ll likely have to go with a higher plan to get all the channels I already have. I think cost wise, in the end, it will be the same. This week I have to decide if I install a dish, which I’m hoping is smaller in size compared to what we had, or go with streaming? Also, one TV is old and most likely we’d have to replace it with a smart TV to get streaming. Pros/cons with a dish/streaming??

Thank you.

Payday Loan Fraud

So last week I started getting all these text messages about payday loans being approved. I thought it was a phishing scam. I checked my Experian account and nothing was reported. I have my credit frozen with all three bureaus. So I start looking into this more carefully and ran a report with Clarity and I see that someone did apply for installment loans with Credit Ninja and Explore Credit! I submitted a security freeze with them. No idea if these identity thieves obtained a loan/money?! Next steps??

Plumbing fees

I recently called a local plumbing company in LA to replace a shower hose and shower head. Told them most likely I needed both and sent pics of both the hose and shower head. I was quoted $175 for the service fee.

Okay, the plumber showed up and my tenant informed me that the plumber changed the hose and went to go pick up a new shower head. He phoned me after the installation I asked for the total and was quoted $200 but that he needed to send in the final bill. When I received the bill the next day, I was astounded that the total was around $580! Apparently I was charged for picking up the shower head! I’m not sure why I was charged a pick up fee nor do I know where the plumber went to pick up the shower head that would warrant a $580 fee. I asked for an itemized bill and was told that’s not what they normally do. It’s been many years since I’ve used a company and so I don’t know if this fee is standard? This has been a learning experience and in the mean time, I wrote a negative review.
