I was waiting for the bus at Douglas & Pandora at 3:45, according to the tower clock on City Hall. A car was in the left lane on Douglas St., headed north, waiting to turn left onto Pandora. The pick-up driver behind them honked about 20 times, presumably noting the "No left turn from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM" sign. I assumed a few possibilities.
1: They didn't know that 3:45 comes before 4:00.
2: They had no clue what time it was (despite the big tower on town hall with a big @#$%ing clock on it), but they really really wanted to honk their ass off just in case it was after 4.
3: They did see the big clock tower, but they don't know how to read an analog clock.
4: The clock on the tower is wrong.
5: I'm in some virtual reality thing & there are inconsistent times in the elements of the reality.
6: There was a bee in the pick-up truck, and the driver flailed about trying to swat the bee & hit the horn 20 times.

BC Wildfire Service say that the fire was discovered
on Jun 1, 2026. Initial reports say it was approximately
half a hectare. BCWS also said during the day, “The fire
is currently burning rank 2 and 3, meaning a low,
vigorous surface fire with some candling of trees and a
moderate rate of spread,” BCWS said in an online post.”
and “10 wildland firefighters are responding alongside
Lytton Fire and Rescue crews.”
