Any experience with Inyova ?

I m thinking of opening a 3a account with Inyova as I want to be able to choose where my money goes and what it finances.

Anyone has experience with them ?

I also checked the option provided by the Alternative Bank but costs are much higher.

Very light and old coin and the story behind it.

Today I got this 1622, 1 Batzen from Bern, Switzerland.

As I was looking to ID it, I realized the very bad quality of the mint. Parts of the imperial eagle is visible on both side as the coin is so thin. In my searches I could find the same coin but the weight was off , mine is 1.3g …

While searching other options I found out that between 1618 and 1623 you had a huge economical crisis and a famine in the Holy Roman Empire, the “Kipper und Wipperzeit”.

Between 1620 and 1623 mints would make coins thinner and put less silver in them to debase them. A few years later after the crisis those coins were banned.

I guess mine is one of them and wanted to share the story behind it for the ones interested !

Ear drum drain experiences ?

My doc started to talk about putting a temporary drain in my ear in the future. From what I understand it would be a small and temporary one that will resorb by it self after some months.

I wonder if anyone tried it ? What were the effects and results ? The up side and down side ? Especially in you daily life and sport life ?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Menieres and martial arts ?

I m diagnosed with menieres for about 10 years, luckily not a too bad case. A few bad days a year and every few year a strong attack of a few weeks with ups and downs (I m into one right now)…

I trained Muay Thai for 10 years and I m a BJJ purple belt and I wonder if there is other martial arts practitioners in this group and how it impacts your practice? How long do you wait after a vertigo attack to go back to training? Is there things that you do or don’t ? Any interesting experiences ?

If you practice another intense sport with high cardio ? I m also interested in your experience !

Machiavelli, The Prince, 1944 Belgian illustrated edition.

Some years ago I found this illustrated, limited edition of Machiavelli’s The Prince in a second hand book shop in Brussels.

It’s a 1944 Belgian edition, illustrated by an artist named Rene De Pauw. 2000 printed copies.

I find the illustration work amazing and never thought it has been done in the 40’s. I found some other art of him but nothing in the same style.

My exemplar is in bad shape, I think I will try to find another one in better condition.

Here is a few of the stunning illustrations.

Have you ever heard of Rene De Pauw before ?
