You promised us the absence of those things, for which I personally stopped playing and supporting The Sims many years ago.
And when the topic of the terrible brazen paywalling and monetization of mods for your game from modders who are used to this in the Sims community (because it knows nothing but money) was raised the other day, I was unpleasantly surprised that the modders have the developers' blessing for this type of activity (or so they say)
I understand that in general you can't stop them from doing what they do. But they should do it against you, not with your permission. Because if you think that selling mods for your game is normal, this is not the line of thought that was promised to me. You don't want to milk your players like cows, but you support this type of thinking among modders?
This community has only been around for a week and you should help make it enjoyable for players. If you don't want to rip us off with endless dlcs, we should be your priority. Not greedy modders who want to sell mods for your game and not influencers who help you promote the game. Because that's the way of EA and sims4. And from what you said, that's not who you want to be.
This post is made out of love and hope for this game. And I hope that I will be heard.
