Balanced training definition

Hello,

I just joined this reddit and I would appreciate a definition of what the group considers "balanced training" so I have a better context of what this group promotes and to avoid getting into trouble when interacting with the group.

I just adopted a 1 year old Mal x GSD a few months ago and I have learned that she is reactive to a few things. I am looking to learn what has worked for other people so that I can help her through her reactivity.

Thank you

7.5 months post TKR

Been a while since Ive posted so thought I'd give an update. I am at 7.5 months. My 6 month follow up went well, my surgeon said my knee is doing great. I have no more pain from the joint/bones. I can walk normally, go up and down stairs and ramps. It feels warm once in awhile if I have a busy day. The incision scar still stings sometimes so I still apply moisturizer to it every couple of days. It still feels numb on the side of the knee most of the time but that's still normal. The only thing that is still very uncomfortable is kneeling on it.

I get to do it all again this coming December. My right TKR is already scheduled for December 9th, exactly a year from when the left was done on December 10th last year. I'll be back for commiseration as I recover from that one. I'm looking forward to a year from now when its all over

DNA results are in

Got the results of the Embark test for my new girl I posted 3 weeks ago.

50.8% Belgian malinois

40.8% German Shepherd

8.4% Supermutt (bunch of mixed breed dogs apparently, but too far back in the lineage to tell for sure)

So I guess we belong here
