She is my youngest and most delicate daughter but she is badass!

Noticed a female cellar spider in my room, last week. I named her Brenda. When I have my window open, lil bugs inevitably find their way in. Brenda lovingly takes care of them for me ❤️
A couple nights ago, Brenda had a suitor, Jason. Jason spent quite a bit of time trying to valiantly woo his new love.

Unfortunately, I had to go to sleep and don’t have a way to record overnight.
In the morning, I noticed Jason was gone. Brenda doesn’t seem too upset about it. 😏

I have a regular reptile vet who said she hears about this kind of thing a lot. 😅
But I’m just wondering what y’all have experienced.

I was holding Miss Ayase close to my chest while I cleaned out her water dish, as I normally do.

Every once in awhile. She decides. To wiggle out of my hand and YEET, faster than the speed of light, towards the sink.
Which she missed.
And hit the counter.
Where she bounced, as I tried to grab her.
And went -sploot- on the rug.

Luckily, she hit my hand once before the counter and another time before the rug. So she was in no way hurt.
but… GIRL. WTF!?
