I have dozens of these wild trees on my property. This is the first year of many they finally produced. Central Texas near Killeen.

How come I don’t get a cute little grumpy bird?

All this rain has been great. Last few years I had zero persimmons.

Texas is getting a lot of rain. We’ve had probably 7” rain last few days with another 5” rain today. With more coming. Fire ants are notorious about floating on the water. This is just out my back door.

It was hard getting decent pics because these ants ran around fast. They don’t look like the Velvet ants that I know. I mostly have fire ants here. Can someone identify please?

I have an area with prehistoric snails. I’ll add pictures in comments.

All lights, sockets and appliances except the refrigerator. Refrigerator is next to the dishwasher side. Outside on back porch is an outdoor electric plug in. I shut that off also.

There is no correlation to it being hot outside or cold. Doesn’t matter if the sun is out or it’s dark. It can go hours without the noise then it starts. Even when standing in the kitchen, I can’t locate the source or which side the noise is coming from. It’s driving me crazy.

Only thing different, is a new roof put on last summer. Noise started a couple of months ago.

Only thing I can thing of is the oven makes clicking noises similar to this when a burner is on. But I turned it off at the breaker and still got the noise. Maybe it has residual power??

Edit to add. This is noises stove makes when heating. The burner clicks on and off. Similar to what I am hearing. But it does this with breaker off. https://imgur.com/a/OjQiIvN
