How do you get the motivation to write?

So a little background: I've been deep in editing my finished manuscript for a while & let me just say this is absolutely the worst part of writing (for me) lmao. Anyways I've got the idea next book written down and I WANT to write it but I can't seem to get back to the point where I feel motivated to actually write/begin. Ultimately what I'm trying to ask is what helps you get that motivation/set the scene for you to write? Honestly I'll take any advice at this point!

Advice/Help Wanted!

I’m working through some feedback on my novel and would love some advice from other writers. Background info: I had my mmc go through a pretty big shift in behavior (suddenly). It coming suddenly felt like a good decision since I wanted the reader to experience some of the confusion/betrayal that the fmc does. I want to make the sudden shift work in my story but based on some of the feedback I’ve gotten the shift might have felt a little TOO sudden/confusing. I’m trying to find the balance I need to make this shift be surprising for the reader while still seeming believable. I laid small eggs for the reader to get the feeling of suspicion but evidently, it wasn’t quite enough lol. For those of you who have written a character who has a sudden change in behavior, how did you handle that? (Sorry for any typos lol!)

[Complete] [85k] [Romance] Operation Fix Stella

Hi everyone! I recently finished writing my first romance novel, Operation Fix Stella! This novel is a slow-burn romance about vulnerability, healing, friendship, and learning how to let someone in. I’ve had my first round of beta readers complete their feedback and ideally I’m hoping this next round will help to get this book ready to be put out there!

I’m mostly just looking for honest opinions on the reading experience, pacing, character believability, etc....

You absolutely don’t have to do this, but if you happen to notice typos, grammar mistakes, weird wording, etc., I’d LOVE if you pointed them out. I’ve stared at these words for so long that I’m basically useless at finding my own mistakes at this point. 😂 I’m totally okay with honest/negative feedback too!

I am OPEN to swaps as well! If you’re interested or have any questions, feel free to comment or message me.

Blurb:

Stella has perfected the art of keeping life simple, but when it’s decided that she needs a little intervention, Operation Fix Stella begins… and suddenly, staying comfortably in her own world isn’t quite as easy as it used to be.

Advice

Hey everyone! I’m planning to debut my new romance novel this September, and I’m trying to get a head start on things like websites, email newsletter, and other marketing tools to help keep readers updated and build a reliable place for updates. (I have already created an instagram/tiktok page.)
For those of you who’ve released a book before or are planning to what are your thoughts and what worked best for you?
Thanks!

Advice needed

Hey everyone! I recently finished my first draft of a contemporary romance novel I wrote. Beginning the editing stages, I was faced with the decision on whether or not to include my two spicier scenes, or take them out since they're not necessarily needed. They do contribute towards the relationship and chemistry of the two main characters but could definitely be dialed back some or alluded to without all the added spice. For those of you who read romance novels what are your opinions? Would you read a book that has only two spicier scenes or do you think that in a book that mainly focuses less on the physical aspects of a relationship that they aren't needed ? (I hope this all makes sense lol) EDIT: Thank you guys so much for the input as of right now I've decided to leave them in and see how the scenes feel with the book from my betas!
